2 CPE Credits in TX
New Topic - changed from Tax Software Shootout

OVERVIEW

Learn what's new for 2018 and beyond. This could be the year that Quill Corp. v. North Dakota (Quill), the seminal ruling that prohibits states from taxing remote businesses without an in-state presence, becomes obsolete.

On April 17, 2018 the U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear arguments in South Dakota v. Wayfair Inc., a case where South Dakota is hoping the high court will see that Quill is obsolete in the e-commerce era and will consider freeing state and local governments to collect billions of dollars in sales taxes from online retailers.

While we can’t predict the future, we can anticipate the impact these changes could have on New Jersey.
