After the New Jersey Legislature passed a fiscal year 2019 budget and Gov. Phil Murphy signed it over the weekend, there are a number of new revenue sources for the state of New Jersey. Here’s a look at a few of them.

National Taxpayer Advocate Identifies Priority Areas in Mid-Year Report to Congress

National Taxpayer Advocate Nina E. Olson has released her statutorily mandated mid-year report to Congress that presents a review of the 2018 filing season, identifies the priority issues the Taxpayer Advocate Service will address during the upcoming fiscal year and contains the IRS’s responses to each of the 100 administrative recommendations the Advocate made in her 2017 Annual Report to Congress.

Legislation to reinstate until Dec. 31, 2023, each urban enterprise zone that has expired — Bridgeton, Camden, Newark, Plainfield and Trenton — and require a report on the effectiveness of the program has been signed into law.
