AICPA Advocates for Reinstating Lapsed CPA Exam Credits

The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) recently sent a letter to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) supporting the reinstatement of lapsed CPA Exam credits for sections passed between 2020 and 2023 but lost during the COVID-19 pandemic. The letter includes the names of 69 large, multi-state CPA firms that support the credit reinstatement.
The NJCPA has shared this letter, which encourages state boards of accountancy to take steps necessary to grant the reprieve, to the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy.
