Michelle Gasiorowsk, CPAi is a senior manager in Bowman & Company LLP's commercial services department. She has been with the firm for fifteen years and has devoted a majority of her time to the employee benefits issues of our clients, including cafeteria plans, audits of defined benefit and defined contribution plans as well as non-for-profit and commercial engagements. Michelle is the manager on over a dozen defined contribution and defined benefit plans for various types and sizes of organizations. She annually attends the AICPA Employee Benefit Plans Accounting, Auditing and Regulatory Update in Washington, D.C. In addition to standard continuing education she frequently takes classes on specific employee benefit issues and upcoming technical changes.

Lynne McMennamin, CPA, is an assistant chief of the Division of Reporting Compliance (DRC) in EBSA’s Office of the Chief Accountant (OCA). Prior to this, Lynne was a senior reporting compliance specialist in the DRC and an auditor in the Division of Accounting Services in OCA. Before joining the Department of Labor in 2013 she spent more than 20 years in public accounting, including 10 years as a partner with an international accounting firm. Lynne has served on the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Expert Panel and the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center executive committee.

Lisa Scimeca is the Associate Regional Director of the Philadelphia Regional Office of EBSA from 2007 to the present. Prior to that, Ms. Scimeca served a one-year detail as the Senior Technical Advisor for Health in the Philadelphia Regional Office during 2014, and she was the Supervisory Benefits Advisor for the Philadelphia Regional Office from 2003 to 2007. She was also a Pension Law Specialist in the National Office of EBSA (formerly Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration) from 1991 to 1995. She was also engaged in private legal practice from 1996 to 2002 in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Ms. Scimeca graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University with a B.A. in English Literature, and was awarded her Juris Doctorate Degree from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She is an active member of the NJ Bar.
