OVERVIEW

This seminar will introduce you to one of the most valuable tax planning strategies available to anyone with commercial real estate. Cost Segregation studies accelerate depreciation on both new and existing facilities, thereby allowing a property owner to increase current depreciation deductions and decrease their income tax liability.

Cost Recovery Solutions, LLC

Robert Rahner is Managing Director at Cost Recovery Solutions, LLC in Tinton Falls. He specializes in cost segregation studies and tangible asset appraisals of machinery and equipment, buildings and land improvements for a variety of purposes including new construction projects, fair market valuations and purchase price allocations. He has supervised and performed these analyses for the purposes of new construction, renovations projects, leasehold improvements, mergers and acquisition, bankruptcy proceedings, liquidations, and financial and tax planning/reporting purposes.

He has performed these analyses in several industries including, but not exclusively in real estate, retail, manufacturing, health care, telecommunications, hospitality, entertainment, consumer business, energy, transportation, food service and technology. These analyses have been performed for projects located throughout the world including South America, Central America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining CRS, Mr. Rahner obtained eight years of cost segregation and tangible asset appraisal experience as part of the Deloitte & Touche Valuation Services practice. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Senior Member (SCSP) of the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals (ASCSP), and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) of the American Society of Appraisers in both Machinery and Technical Specialties and Cost Surveys. He earned an MBA in Information Systems and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University.
