The Role of the Financial Neutral in Collaborative Law Cases
The course will look at Collaborative in general and the principles and protocols underlying the practice. Participants will leave with a copy of “ C.2A:23D-1, New Jersey Family Collaborative Law Act.” and will also receive a copy of a Model Participation Agreement.

Jeffrey D. Urbach, CPA/ABV/CFF, CFE, CVA , is the founding partner of Urbach & Avraham, CPAS, LLP in Highland Park, NJ. His litigation practice is concentrated in the matrimonial area where he works primarily as a Court Appointed Expert or agreed upon neutral. He is a senior instructor for the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and has authored and taught a variety of courses in business valuation and matrimonial accounting including starting and co-developing a 5 day matrimonial accounting program, the only one of its kind in the country. He is also a former lecturer in accounting for Rutgers University where he taught for seven years. He serves on the faculty of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM) for which he developed and teaches the financial/tax module of their 40 hour family mediation training program. Mr. Urbach is also a founding member of the Mid-Jersey Collaborative Law Alliance. He is also a Rule 1:40 Qualified Mediator on the NJ Judicial Roster for Economic Aspects of Family Law Cases and Civil Matters having completed over 60 hours of family and civil mediation training. Mr. Urbach received his M.B.A. from Rutgers University, with a major in professional accounting.
