OVERVIEW

The International Tax Team from Withum will be discussing various issues that includes basic international tax as well as some advanced topics including the implications as international tax relates to Tax Reform

Michael Fleisher, CPA is a manager with Withum. He has over 8 years of experience in public accounting specializing in tax planning and compliance for controlled foreign corporations and controlled foreign partnerships. He has extensive experience with FATCA compliance.Michael is a graduate of Rutgers University.

Joshua Gelernter, JD, is a Senior Manager with Withum’s International Tax Services Group, and has over 13 years of accounting and tax experience with an expertise in international tax issues affecting corporations, partnerships and individuals. Past experience includes serving as the Tax Director of a multinational retail jewelry company with a focus in the Caribbean. Josh is a graduate of City University of New York – Queens College, NY, with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, and earned a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law, NY. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Calvin Yung is a manager of international business tax at Withum. He has more than 9 years of professional experience in a Big 4 accounting firm with experience in all aspects of State and Local Tax and International Tax. He advises Fortune 500 clients regarding cash repatriation planning involving prepaid royalties where over $100M was successfully repatriated to the U.S. for use in the client's business operations. Calvin does tax planning and restructuring alternatives for multinational clients based on their goals and objectives including preparing memoranda and tax opinions for implementation. Calvin received his Bachelors fro Rutgers and LLM from New York University School of Law. He received hisJuris Doctoriate from Seton Hall Law.
