How to Leverage your Firm's Human Capital
this session Howard Matalon, Partner in charge of employment practices at
Oleander Feldman, will cover a variety of human resources topics not only to
protect your firm, but also to get the most from a company's most valuable
resource: its Human Capital. Some best practices and topics that will be covered:
- The importance of updating employment manuals regularly
- Performance reviews
- Hiring and onboarding new employees
- Compensation and benefits
- Paid time off and leave
Controllers, chief financial officers, budget directors, assistant controllers, accounting managers or senior staff with a substantial responsibility for the above functions regardless of formal title working at for-profit companies or nonprofit organizations. Sales representatives are not permitted to attend.
Attendees will have 90 minutes to discuss topics, ask questions, compare notes and share best practices with other controllers and CFOs in an informal setting. There is no cost to attend, and a light breakfast will be provided.
Topics discussed are determined by the attendees. Sample topics include:
