Do You Have a Relationship with Any of These Lawmakers?

The NJCPA plays a critical role protecting the CPA profession in the New Jersey Legislature. No group has more impact on your ability to practice your profession than the Governor and the members of the Legislature. One of the most powerful methods we use to influence this group is through direct contacts made by CPAs who have existing relationships with a lawmaker(s). If you have a relationship with any of the lawmakers listed below, we're asking you to join our Keyperson Program.

Lawmakers

  • John Armato
  • Cory Booker
  • Joseph P. Cryan
  • Christopher P. DePhillips
  • Serena DiMaso
  • Roy Freiman
  • Vin Gopal
  • Josh Gottheimer
  • Yvonne Lopez
  • Carol A. Murphy
  • Ryan Peters
  • Shanique Speight
  • Britnee N. Timberlake
  • Harold J. Wirths

Being an NJCPA Keyperson is simple. Once a year or less, we'll ask you to communicate the Society's position on an issue to the lawmaker you know. You don't need to be an expert on the issue. We provide you with talking points, sample letters or whatever you'll need to briefly let the lawmaker know how the profession feels about a particular issue. And, NJCPA staff is available to answer any questions they may have.

Please contact Jeff Kaszerman at 973-226-4494 x210 or jkaszerman@njcpa.org if you can help.
