Registration Open for New York Employer Compensation Expense Program

Registration for New York's Employer Compensation Expense Program (ECEP) is now open. The ECEP established a new optional Employer Compensation Expense Tax (ECET) that employers can elect to pay if they have employees that earn over $40,000 annually in wages and compensation in New York State.

Companies that choose to enroll for calendar year 2020 must do so by Dec. 1, 2019. Visit Employer Compensation Expense Program Employer Election to enroll online through your Business Online Services account. Tax professionals may not make the election on behalf of their clients.
