In this meeting, learn the five building blocks to wealth transfer: fundamental planning, basic planning, intermediate planning, advanced planning and charitable planning.

Joseph Rowek, J.D., LL.M.

Joe Rowek is a Vice President and Senior Tax Specialist of Summit Financial, LLC. He has been a member of Senior Management of Summit for over twenty-six years, where his primary focus is on applications of Income, Estate, Gift and Generation Skipping Transfer Tax rules, Business Succession and Continuity Planning, Insurance Structuring, and Retirement and Charitable Planning. He is also an adjunct professor at William Paterson University where he teaches Estate Planning and Retirement Planning.

Prior to joining Summit, Joe was an Estate Tax Attorney with the Internal Revenue Service and a retirement benefits attorney with the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a B.S. in Accounting, and earned his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. Joe received his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from New York University. He holds a New Jersey Insurance License as well as the FINRA Series 6 and 7, and the Series 24 Securities Principals’ license.

Joe is a member of the Academy of Finance Advisory Board at Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne, NJ and the charitable society of his church.

Joe is married with three children and one granddaughter, and lives in Wayne, NJ.
