  • Andrew Kucinski, CPA, RMA, PSA, principal at Nisivoccia, has been awarded the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential by the Associationof Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
  • Prager Metis has announces its combination with William J. Keephart CPA, PA, a firm located in Lawrenceville, NJ. The William J. Keephart team will continue operating virtually at this time and will eventually become part of the Prager Metis Cranbury office. The team at William J. Keephart, CPA, PA specializes in serving small to midsize businesses and individuals.
  • SobelCo, a Livingston-based certified public accounting and advisory firm, recently announced that Carolyn J. D’Anna, CPA, has joined the firm to serve as its first chief operating officer. D’Anna had spent her entire career at JH Cohn/CohnReznick, advancing to an accounting and audit partner, and ultimately assumed responsibility as the chief human resource officer at the firm. She os a recipient of the NJCPA Diversity and Inclusion Impact Award.
  • KPMG LLP has named Jennifer “Jen” Shimek as managing principal of its Short Hills office, overseeing more than 860 partners and professionals. In her new role, Shimek, an advisory principal, will be responsible for the strategic direction and continued growth of the Short Hills office and assuring that KPMG remains a great place to work and build a career. She succeeds Corey Temple, who will continue to serve as the life sciences industry leader for KPMG’s Metro New York business unit and as lead partner on a large client engagement until his planned retirement in 2021.

  • Nisivoccia is pleased to announce that, effective July 2020, Bud Jones, CPA, RMA, PSA, has been named managing partner of the firm, succeeding Timothy Mehaffey, CPA. Bud becomes the fourth managing partner of Nisivoccia as the firm celebrates its 50-year anniversary.
