The objective of this presentation is to provide participants with an introductory overview of business valuation. The presentation will cover the reasons and contexts in which valuations are necessary, the key considerations and inputs, the approaches and methodologies with examples, and common errors and flaws.
Forensic and Investigative Accounting
Roy Kvalo, CPA/ABV/CFF/CGMA, CVA - Curchin Group
The program will include discussions of employee fraud and financial reporting fraud. We will discuss how the frauds are committed and also how they may be detected and prevented including various forensic techniques and tools. We will also take a brief look at the new Statement on Standards for Forensic Services No1 (SSFS-1), effective January 1, 2020. In addition, we will briefly discuss what one might expect in the testimony as an expert witness.
