Raphael J. Carletti, CPA

RJ Carletti is a supervisor in Mercadien’s Nonprofit & Human Services Group, primarily working on audit engagements for trade associations, private schools, and human services organizations. Mr. Carletti also occasionally works with for-profit organizations, which include manufacturing companies, real estate development companies, minor league athletic teams and employee 401(k) plans.

RJ plans and manages numerous engagements, while working with staff to complete projects on time. His responsibilities include performing audits for nonprofit and for-profit organizations, finding solutions to engagement issues, performing engagement and tax reviews, and reviewing internal control risks. A collaborative team player, Mr. Carletti works directly with his clients and staff to ensure all expectations are met.

Prior to joining Mercadien as an entry-level accountant in 2013, Mr. Carletti gained experience in providing Form 1120 tax services to a series of Common Interest Real Estate Associations, as well as providing audit and assurance services and compliance with GAAP to for-profit and not-for-profit clients.

RJ resides in Burlington, NJ.

Benjamin McDannell

Benjamin E. McDannell, CPA

Benjamin McDannell is a Supervisor with Mercadien, P.C., Certified Public Accountants, which he joined in July 2013. As a supervisor on the audit team, he supervises engagement teams in performing audits of nonprofit, commercial and employee benefit plans. His nonprofit background spans a wide-array of privately and publicly supported organizations including those that are subject to compliance with Yellow Book requirements and Uniform Guidance. Ben has also worked closely with nonprofit clients to help with mergers and affiliations and various changes in regulations at the state level.

In the commercial sector, Ben has worked with clients in various industries including technology, manufacturing, capital management and leasing companies. He not only performs and reviews the various risk assessments associated with audit work, but also makes an effort to identify areas of improvement for clients based on their industry and regulatory risks they may be exposed to and discusses how they can strengthen their processes and control structure. Ben has always enjoyed working in a team environment and grew up working in customer service, both of these skill sets allow him to effectively leverage audit teams to provide the best possible service to clients.

Daniel L. Mellor, J.D., LL.M., is a shareholder with Kulzer DiPadova, P.A., located in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Mr. Mellor is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, as well as the Camden, Burlington and Mercer County Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. He is also licensed to practice before the United States Tax Court. Mr. Mellor earned his B.A. from the College of William and Mary, his J.D. at the George Mason University School of Law, and his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in taxation from the Temple University Beasley School of Law.
