Each year, the New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJCPA) holds an Annual Meeting in accordance with our bylaws.


This program will:
  • Update members on the status and health of their professional association
  • Review old and address new business items
  • Announce newly elected or re-elected volunteers to serve on the NJCPA Board of Trustees as well as committee, interest group and chapter leadership.




This program is being presented during the NJCPA Virtual Convention. If you are registered for the Convention, you do NOT need to also register for this event.

Jordan D. Amin, CPA is a tax partner at EisnerAmper LLP with more than 15 years of experience in both public and private accounting. He has a unique blend of expertise in tax, auditing, business consulting, financial planning and forensic accounting. His expertise includes the review of corporate, individual, partnership and fiduciary tax returns. He advises the owners of closely held companies on the management and growth of all phases of their business, from tax planning to the successful transition of management to subsequent generations in family owned businesses. He has experience in a wide variety of industries including distribution, manufacturing, retail, financial services, real estate and construction. Mr. Amin has advised his clients on exit strategies and worked closely on the sale of several of his clients’ businesses. He is a graduate of Boston University, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA). Jordan is the Immediate Past Chair of the AICPA’s National CPA Financial Literacy Commission, an initiative to improve personal financial education in the United States, and is Chair of the NJCPA’s Strategic Planning Committee. He is also Treasurer of the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

Sarah Krom, CPA, PSA, is a managing partner at SKC & Co., CPAs, LLC. She works primarily with entrepreneur business owners who have high growth goals for their company. Sarah offers budgeting, forecasting, controller for hirer, HR for accounting department, cost reduction and financing negotiations services. She prides herself on allowing her clients to sleep at night as she shoulders many of the anxieties that tie down successful entrepreneurs. Additionally, she is responsible for recruiting in her firm and heads up the IT committee. Most recently, Sarah began working on developing her own list of clients through aggressive marketing and business development.

Sarah was the 2018/19 president of the NJCPA and a former chair of the NJCPA's Young CPAs Council.

Kyle Sell

Kyle is a partner at Deloitte in Parsippany. He served as NJCPA president (2019/20) and has been active in the Society since 2004. He has previously been president of the NJCPA Scholarship Fund and a Board of Trustees liaison for the NJ-CPA-PAC and Student Programs & Scholarships Committee, as well as a member of the Professional Conduct Committee. At Deloitte, Kyle is an audit partner, with more than 20 years serving primarily life science, process and industrial companies. He earned his B.A. in economics and business at Lafayette College and his MBA in finance from Columbia University.

Alan Sobel

Alan is the managing partner of SobelCo, where he is responsible for facilitating the strategic direction and the day-to-day management of the firm. He provides expertise on financial reporting, tax planning for businesses and high net worth individuals and strategic business planning. He has considerable experience with mergers and acquisitions and delivers added value working with clients on sourcing deals, negotiating and structuring transactions, financial and business due diligence and transaction financing. Alan is the 2020/21 president of the NJCPA. He developed the concept for the Pass-Through Business Alternative Income Tax Act and played the lead role in writing the legislation and making it fit within New Jersey’s tax structure. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA). He is the former chairman of the NJCPA Audit Committee and was a former vice president and trustee of the NJCPA and a past president of its Essex Chapter and has served on various committees. Alan was a former adjunct professor of taxation and frequently lectures.

Ralph Thomas

Ralph is the CEO and executive director of the NJCPA - a post held since 1999. He was appointed by New Jersey Senate President Sweeney to the New Jersey Economic and Fiscal Policy Working Group in 2018. He was also previously appointed to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Foundation Board and the inaugural AICPA National Commission on Diversity and Inclusion. Ralph is a lifetime member and former national and chapter president of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), was appointed chair of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy’s (NASBA) State Society Relations Committee, and is a member of the accounting advisory boards of Lehigh, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Montclair State, Felician, Thomas Edison universities and Middlesex County College. He is also the treasurer of Opportunity NJ. Additionally, he was selected for the last seven years by Accounting Today as one of the “Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting.”

Harry Wills

Harry is a partner with Bowman & Company LLP in Voorhees and the 2021/22 president of the NJCPA. Harry's area of focus is in taxation and the audits of employee benefit plans. His clients include law firms, insurance agencies, construction and manufacturing corporations, wholesalers and distributors, hotels and investment entities. Harry is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs (PICPA). He was a former adjunct instructor at Drexel University LeBow College of Business and Rutgers – Camden. He is also a board member and finance chair of Symphony in C and was a past president of the Voorhees Gibbsboro Rotary Club.
