With nearly thirty years of experience, he is one of the nation’s foremost experts on Social Security and oversees the development of Social Security claiming strategies to maximize retirement income benefits. Ash is the former president and founder of National Social Security Partners, LLC (NSSP). He has two certifications in Social Security planning: National Social Security AdvisorSM and Certified in Social Security Claiming Strategies (CSSCS). Ash was recognized with the “National Social Security Advisor of the Year” award in 2016 from the National Social Security Association. He obtained his Chartered Accounting degree (a Canadian CPA.) and Certified Financial PlannerTM designation. He then went on to obtain an MBA from Wharton Business School. Ash has been published in numerous newspapers and magazines.

Rich Gustafson Financial Professional Rich Gustafson is a financial professional with a focus in retirement and Medicare planning at OneTeam Financial. He plays an integral part of the holistic planning process helping clients prepare and navigate Medicare, long-term care, Social Security claiming and retirement income planning.

The financial world is constantly in flux, and Rich takes pride in educating his clients and their advisors on how the changing investment landscape can impact their ability to plan for the future. He works closely with clients to custom design comprehensive and flexible financial plans with the goal of enhancing wealth and reducing risk.

Rich graduated from New Jersey’s preeminent public higher education institution, Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1987. He began his career in the financial services industry in 2009 at Ameritas and quickly connected with his passion for helping others prepare for their retirement dreams. Along, with his experience in retirement planning, Rich also holds licenses in life, disability, and health insurance.

Rich is a member of the Red Bank Chapter of the American Financial Education Alliance (AFEA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing vital financial education programs to residents in communities throughout New Jersey. Through this organization, Rich gives back to the community by regularly teaching classes and educating residents about Medicare, life insurance, retirement planning and other financial planning strategies. Rich is active in Big Brothers Big Sisters and enjoys hiking, mountain biking, reading and traveling the world—including visiting every major league baseball stadium in America.
