Stanley is a tax attorney with over 40 years of experience in accounting and taxation. Stanley focuses on helping professional service firms navigate the world of taxation and accounting. Previously, Stanley was the Tax Director at White & Case LLP, a top ten global law firm with operations in 34 countries. He oversaw international tax planning, financial reporting, and compliance for the firm, as well as advising on transactional changes, compensation policies, and optimization of structure. He is a certified public accountant, a certified management accountant, and a licensed attorney with a Master of Laws in taxation. Prior to White & Case, Stanley was the Tax Partner for PwC's Network Tax Function with responsibility for overseeing international tax planning, financial reporting and compliance for member firms in 157 countries. In the past, Stanley was Co-Chair of PwC's Law Firm Services group.
Stanley is also an author and an educator. He has co-authored the fourth, fifth, and sixth editions of Law Firm Accounting and Financial Management, a comprehensive guide for law firm professionals. Since 2015, he has been an adjunct professor of law at Rutgers Law School, where he teaches Business of Law and helps students understand the economics of the legal profession.
