The Impact of Governor Murphy’s Proposed Budget

Governor Phil Murphy recently issued his proposed budget for New Jersey’s next fiscal year. The $58.1 billion proposal is 2.7% higher than the current year’s budget and includes $1.2 billion in proposed tax increases. Our panel of public policy experts weigh in on numerous elements of the proposed budget, including the impact of potential cuts in federal aid to Medicaid and NJ Transit.
