Learn the nuts-and-bolts steps to properly calculate and complete Form 941-X to claim the employee retention tax credit (ERTC).

The ERTC is a generous but complex tax credit that requires the knowledge set of CPAs to obtain the maximum credit allowed by the law. The session will walk through actually preparing the claim forms to obtain the refund.

HIGHLIGHTS

earn how to complete Form 941-X by obtaining necessary information from an already-filed PPP loan forgiveness application or preparing one that will help obtain the maximum ERC credit. During this session, attendees will:

  • Review the information needed to prepare an ERTC claim.
  • Identify the periods when a business qualifies for the ERTC and the wages that are available to be used to claim the credit.
  • Fill in the Form 941-X, as well as supporting Forms 941, to claim the tax credit.
  • Learn what information should be sent with the claim for refund.
  • Look at the due dates for filing the claims and the time periods when the IRS is able to assess amounts to recover erroneous credits.
