Nicole is the director of tax with SKC & Co. CPAs, LLC, a Brand Ambassador at UWorld Accounting and has more than 15 years of public accounting experience, specializing in taxation for closely held businesses and individuals. In addition to working with clients in an array of industries, she was also an adjunct professor at Raritan Valley Community College where she taught Tax Accounting for Individuals for four years. Nicole is a member of the NJCPA Board of Trustees and active on several interest groups and committees, including the Content Advisory Board, Federal Taxation Interest Group and Emerging Leaders Interest Group. In 2015, she was awarded “30 Under 30” by the NJCPA. In 2019 she was awarded the “Women to Watch” Ovation Award which applauds the growth and success of female members. Nicole was also named a Forbes Top 200 CPA and was on NJBIZ’s Power 50 List for 2020 and 2021. In Nicole’s spare time, she teaches Zumba Fitness and is active in various charitable organizations, such as St. Jude's and the American Heart Association.

Karin has over 30 years of experience advising corporations and pass-through entities in a variety of industries on state & local tax and escheat matters in both public accounting and corporate roles. Karin also gained significant industry experience through prior leadership roles for a large international media group and a Dow 30 manufacturer. Karin is returning to public accounting where she has previously spent a significant portion of her career with the multistate tax practices of leading Big Four and mid-size firms. Most recently, Karin was a Managing Director with a Big Four firm focusing on state tax due diligence and planning for complex corporate and private equity transactions on both the buy and sell side. Karin has also represented numerous businesses and individuals before state tax authorities guiding them through voluntary disclosure, examination and appeals. Karin takes pride in leveraging her broad experience and diverse skill set to provide practical solutions to issues and challenges facing taxpayers.

Karen Fierro is the Director of Trusts & Estates. She uses her expertise in advising individuals and families on complex tax strategies to build and preserve wealth. In her role as Director of Trusts & Estates, Karen leads the team as an integral member of Wiss Family OfWce, providing estate planning support tailored to the needs of ultra-high-net-worth families. Karen enjoys interacting with people and Wnds in-person, or ZOOM meetings are the best way to connect with clients. Karen believes being present for a client means being responsive to their questions when they need assistance the most, and that listening, informing, and advising is the key to building relationships as a trusted advisor. Karen joined Wiss in May of 2021 with a background of over 15 years in all aspects of Trust & Estates, both domestic & international, and a solid foundation in general taxation and accounting.
