About Robert A. DeFilippis, CPA

Bob began his career at a Big Four accounting firm and then transitioned to teaching. He was on the audit staff for five years at Deloitte in Newark. After joining the faculty of Fairleigh Dickinson University, he stayed for 39 years. Currently an adjunct, Bob served previously as Chairman of the Department of Accounting, Tax and Law and was responsible for the accounting programs at the two New Jersey campuses of FDU, as well as two other off-campus locations. During his academic career, Bob maintained a CPA practice providing clients with audit and tax services. He also served as a consultant. In this capacity he was a quality control reviewer for a medium-sized New Jersey CPA firm. In addition, he served as CFO of two start up entities in the gaming and professional sports industries. He also regularly taught for the Becker CPA Review Course where he was consistently ranked among the highest rated instructors in the country. Bob has taught over 35,000 students, an accomplishment of which he is most proud. Robert A. DeFilippis
