| Melissa is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), with more than a decade of experience in forensic accounting and auditing, financial advisory, and risk and operational consulting services. She is currently completing her dissertation for a terminal degree in accounting information systems, centered around agentic systems for audit workflows and applied machine learning. Her work is done in partnerships with public firms, companies, and government agencies, bringing together the technical expertise and the practical needs of accounting and audit functions. Melissa is the founder of MD Advisory Services, supporting businesses navigating complex situations including those arising from operational and internal control failures, financial mismanagement, fraud, and the related outcomes. |  |
