From Software Buyer to Strategic Partner: How AI Frees CPAs to Do the Work That Matters
Scott Pooch, CEPA
This is a working session for audit and assurance professionals, not a tool tour. Bring one real task from your own week, such as tightening a PBC request list or drafting a management letter comment, and work it start to finish. Every exercise can be done on your own AI tool, followed on Scott’s screen or written on the worksheet, so it works whether you have an open AI account, a firm-approved tool with restrictions or no AI access at all. You’ll leave with a written division of labor for one task of your own, an output standard for it and a three-sentence starting point for a firm AI policy you can take to an engagement leader or an AI committee. No technical background is required. Bring the task, not the client data.
